Re: Capillary Oil Temperature Gauge

Hi there
Had this challenge several years ago. Ended up screwing the sender into the remote oil filter holder. It works fine and does not have to be disturbed when changing the oil.

Re: Garage flooring tiles

If you mean those soft, black tiles I laid them in my garage a while ago. Weren’t too expensive from Machine Mart.
Warmer and more comfortable than concrete and fairly easy to clean. Only thing is they expand a lot and buckle up if they get warm in the sun.

Re: WANTED: Spare car or leisure battery

I have a couple of of batteries from my Mother’s mobility scooter which you are welcome to. They held charge when I replaced them a couple of months ago but I’ll check they’re still OK. I am in Teddington.

Ultra Low Emissions Zone

I am pleased to see the T289R is becoming an active member of the FBHVC. You have probably heard about the ULEZ and may be thinking it will not have many consequences for those living outside London. The gist of it is that the Mayor is proposing to extend the area in October 2021 to include everywhe...

Re: BRA 289 in the Netherlands

David .You are right - the position of the battery threw me. I thought it was on the flat shelf in front of the bulkhead which is found on Mk1s - in fact it is supported on a tray cantilevered from the vertical mk2 firewall . The square section BRA chassis is visible in the same picture. I like the ...

Re: BRA 289 in the Netherlands

All a bit of a mystery. Why is a RHD apparently UK registered car being sold in the Netherlands. I think it is a modified Mk1 BRA (mine was the 2nd mk2)- the overrider brackets tend to give it away notwithstanding quite a few modifications particularly the sills, doors and later type transmission tun...
