New AC Cobra range

Can't believe no one else has done a post on this yet! https://www.accars.eu/models/ac-cobra-140-charter-edition/ Looks nice, but with a 4 cylinder engine (even if it does produce 350bhp) just doesn't feel right and an electric version!!!!!!!!!!!!! And still only has a 0-60 time of 6.0 secs. Also no...

Track days and RS Clubman Licence

I have discovered that some track days require a motorsport licence. This turned out to be very straight forward and free, see this site. https://rsclubman.motorsportuk.org/ For those in the Southwest and Wales, this is a great venue, cheaper (£90) than most and also allows 105db and you don't need ...

Re: Hawk 289 parts

Hi Hamish, I'm near Devizes (and son is in Bristol) and have a Rover v8/MGB Hawk 289. I have a few bits that may be useful, i.e. Correct petrol filler cap, SVA mirrors, SVA wire wheel spinners, headlamp pods etc. Just let me know and/or we can meet up. Re: Haynes Motor Museum - Breakfast Club dates

And very good they are too, especially with the red 289 in prize place in the foyer, and I always seem to be the only other 289 there. Exiting is always watchable! Hooligans galore.

Re: Lurch - But not the Adams Family Type!

SOLVED! Checked front suspension thoroughly along with tracking just in case and all appeared to be in good order. In the interests of safety took the car down to my local garage in case I was missing something obvious or otherwise. The guy who runs it is an old time engineer, remember those, and w...

Re: Lurch - But not the Adams Family Type!

Looks like today will be spent underneath re-checking everything. All seemed OK last year, and the only thing I have done this year after the MoT was to take it out for a test run (= a good thrashing) and time some 0-60 runs, maybe I overdid something? It will be a pity if I can't take it out as I w...

Lurch - But not the Adams Family Type!

Successfully passed MoT with no advisories :) ready to head off to have fun  on some quiet Devon roads this weekend. However I noticed that when I accelerate the car does a little lurch to the right, and when I lift off suddenly it does the same to left. Checked all the main suspension bolt...
