Re: A few parts for sale

Just been having a clear out of the garage and see that I still have the MG rear axle. Happy for this to go to a new home if anyone wants to collect from GU27 area.

Also have a 1967 MGB GT V5 that am happy to let go at for a nominal amount.

Thanks

Re: Cost to build a 289

Hi Simon, Ballpark, without Engine and Gearbox I'd say between 23 and 27k. (More if you want an Andy Gordon standard FIA) Without engine and gearbox I was circa £30k-33k when I was looking at the build option. That was with a live axle. I recall Gerry mentioning that it could be an additional 2k+ f...

uploading Photos and Videos

Hi

Can someone tell me what the process is for uploading photos and videos to the site, or is it links only - flickr, youtube etc?

Would be nice if we had more visual content! :D

Re: Overheating Issues

The electronic gauges from Smiths are poor in their reliability and accuracy. I would buy a reasonable quality hand held laser temp reader and check the engine temp against the gauge. The temp readers work best looking at a matt black hose or surface, they don't like shiny reflective surfaces. If y...
