Re: Well, that didn't fit

Hi Peter, the bonnet is a spare Viper one I've had for a while. The scoop on that is exactly the same as the one on my car, so I've raised it by 30mm at the front and 20 mm at the rear. I screwed some mdf to the top of it first to raise the height and then filled it and sanded it down to get the sha...

Re: Well, that didn't fit

It's nearly time to fit the down draughts to the car. Most people don't seem to fit filters to the carbs, but I wanted to fit 63 mm tall ones to ensure the engine gets enough airflow. However, the hood scoop on the car is too low to accommodate that, so as this is a Modsports inspired car, I guess a...

Re: Cobra rear lights LED conversion

I was under the impression that Spiyda were already producing LED tail lights/indicators and had been for some time. I was told that they did the R&D and manufactured these and added them to their portfolio.

The cars new decals, embracing the wide arched Modsports cars form the early '70's. All period correct decals for the 1970's STP "Modsports" series

I thought I'd already posted this but obviously not. It's a video of the car with it's new X pipe exhaust system, crank up the volume ;-)

Re: Cobra hard top videos

Good workmanship, but looks too ugly for me and it's likely to leak like a sieve

Re: BRA 289 and IVA

Sorry, but the British Motor Heritage should not be doing that. They are not following DVSA's guidelines to verifying engines. The whole point of this is to stop people falsifying an engines age. Anyone that has a late model engine (post 1974) could give BMH the engine number for an early engine and...

Re: BRA 289 and IVA

Tim, the engine number and details have to be checked by one of the BIVA test approved engine verifiyers. They physically have to see the engine to do this. I believe that Real Steel are on the accepted list. I would speak to them and ask advice.
