Re: For sale unstarted Hawk 289 Sebring

Hi Hamish, at this point id like to sell it all together. As I said, it makes it more saleable to someone not to have to find all of these parts. If however I sell just the body and chassis, then I would sell everything off separately

A mould was taken from the buck on the bonnet https://i.imgur.com/QJTuYlN.jpg Gelcoat and fibreglass matt were then laid into that https://i.imgur.com/jbeMRpO.jpg This produced the scoop itself, seen here in etch primer https://i.imgur.com/NsEICtA.jpg The underside of the bonnet had been sprayed in ...

Re: Well, that didn't fit

Hi Peter, the bonnet is a spare Viper one I've had for a while. The scoop on that is exactly the same as the one on my car, so I've raised it by 30mm at the front and 20 mm at the rear. I screwed some mdf to the top of it first to raise the height and then filled it and sanded it down to get the sha...

Re: Well, that didn't fit

It's nearly time to fit the down draughts to the car. Most people don't seem to fit filters to the carbs, but I wanted to fit 63 mm tall ones to ensure the engine gets enough airflow. However, the hood scoop on the car is too low to accommodate that, so as this is a Modsports inspired car, I guess a...
