Re: Well I said I would.............

Thanks Clive - very useful. Stu - I have had a discussion with Anthony about this. I am chassis 49, so there are about 48 others before me that have all passed (ignoring the few in build still) under John Kerr's ownership with the current piece of hefty heavy duty box section that forms the seat bel...

Re: Well I said I would.............

thanks - second photo is very useful. Do I assume then that there are triangulating straps adjacent both rear inner wings that bolt to structural chassis members? Is that about 15 cm back? IVA inspector would not comment about how far back the triangulation has top go, other than 5cm was insufficient.

The problem is the triangulation of the bracket that forms a tower in the boot from which the top seat belt anchorages are attached. I'll see if I can find a pic.

Re: Well I said I would.............

Well my IVA today at Gillingham did not go well with 39 fail points. 50% of these were entirely my own fault and largely in the 'minor electrical' category, and caused by me not being sufficiently prepared (too much at work to deal with beforehand) e.g. I had not properly rehearsed how to demonstrat...

Re: IVA SOS: Lucas wiper park facility

Thanks. Aaron has put up a set of systematic diagnostic tests on the CRC. I'll follow each of these, and then if its the park switch, maybe get one couriered to me in time....we'll see.

Re: IVA SOS: Lucas wiper park facility

Thanks for the replies. I can earth the motor body, although there is already a back wire on the motor connections.
Dave - so if I have a duff switch, is it meand-able, or need a new one?

Re: IVA donor wheels

So i decided to bite the bullet and put new tyres on the donor wheels. Hopefully 2 of them can be re-used when the knock-ons go on.

Re: Mechanical gauges and capillary tubes

Thanks for all your comments. Yesterday's pre-IVA run out proved all the mechanic gauges work, with oil temp up to 80 degrees after driving in the heat.
