Re: Vapour lock

That’s interesting, found a pressure gauge and checked it...exactly 3psi!

Re: Vapour lock

Have ordered a fuel gauge for the filter king. What pressure should I expect? It’s a 335 bhp motor.

Hi Clive, Well, no fun at all today! Nightmare journey to Carfest. Engine stopped 8 times in total. 10 mins with the bonnet up cooled things sufficiently to get it going again. Yes, tank is vented, fuel pressure and float level...don’t know. I have a filter king filter/ pressure regulator but don’t ...

What have others done to make the grill at the front of the hood scoop in an FIA?

To paint or not to paint....

Got my car provisionally booked in with a top painter for around October time. Trouble is, I’ve not got my hood or tonneau yet. Can I position the studs in the body (in the marked places) knowing the tonneau and hood will fit? Or should I wait until I’ve fitted the hood etc before it goes to paint? ...

Re: Ford 302

When I built my 331 stroker many years ago I was advised against the 347 (can’t for the life of me remember why now!) just make sure you have the whole assembly properly balanced. My 331 (and the 302 I have now) was smooth, quiet and powerful, much more like a modern engine and not in the slightest ...

Re: Hood for a 289 fia

Thanks Peter, all good advice. I always wear earplugs for motorway driving, the noise/pressure fluctuations is deeply unpleasant. I will however look again at the side screens I have.
