Tonneau fitted

I waited a few days for the longer (15mm) threaded lift the dot studs but got round to fitting the studs and Tonneau today. Pretty straightforward, I’ll have to remove my rear view mirror to put it on, but that’s only a quick job to take off and put back on with a thumb screw. Did it gradually using...

Re: Which fire extinguisher

I’ve ended up buying a 2kg foam extinguisher. Pretty big, but hopefully will never have to use it.

Re: Fitting the side screens

I’d also really appreciate some close up pictures of finished sidescreens if possible, both fitted and lose would be great. I was thinking about covering them myself. I can source the material and window channel.
Thanks

I followed the instructions to the letter but I’d appreciate opinions on how it looks so far..... Simon CC6C53E0-B077-46DB-815F-6A96...

Re: Lift the dot studs

Ok thanks Clive. I’ll give it another go (4mm drill for 2BA Tap I’ve been told) Just for my own satisfaction but will probably stick with the longer studs with nuts on to hold them securely.

Re: Lift the dot studs

I’ve got a set of three taps. I started off with the finest, should I just get straight in with the coarsest?
I might try that.

Lift the dot studs

After buying my Tonneau from Gerry the other day, I decided to try and tap holes in the glassfibre to fix the studs. Despite drilling the correct size holes and buying the correct taps, could I get the tap to cut a thread in the glassfibre?.......nope. Tried a couple of holes then gave it up as a ba...
