Re: This really is a garage to die for

It took me over six months just to get a building warrant to demolish my old workshop and rebuild it in timber frame to the exact dimensions as the original.

Re: Tasks during the lock down

At this time of the year I find I have too many other things to do, so work on the car doesn't get done.

Re: LeMans Classic

Unfortunately a credit note is only of use if you are going to use it. Otherwise it isn't worth a thing. Do you have travel insurance? If you do it might be worth claiming from them. Mine would have covered my cancellation if the operator and/or airline didn't pay out.

We had booked a week's golf in Turkey where the flights and the golf/hotel were booked separately. Because the countries locked down we got a full refund from both the airline and ...

Re: Tyre recommendation

My feeling is we have spent upwards of £30k on our cars and the only think keeping us in contact with the road is the tyres. Most of us do only a few thousand miles a year so a set of tyres will last a fair few years. I had never heard of Galaxy tyres and they do seem extremely cheap, whether or not...

Re: Tyre recommendation

Thanks for the link Kevin, I'd never heard of these tyres. There are a fair number of 205/70 15 tyres out there which would fit our wire wheels, but they are primarily for 4x4s or vans and do not have the speed rating we need which if fitted would invalidate our insurance.
