Has somebody had the problem of too much free play in that joint? (MG B steering in Hawk).
I need to open up and check.

Did buy two lenses, 9,30 without tax, at mini spares centre, post 3,39, so all with VAT delivered to the door 15,10 GBP, but that was inside the EU!
Rates to Switzerland are different, but should not be so much.

If you have a standard MG B column the nut size is 1 5/16"

There are many other suppliers in the US, even Toyo, Nexen, Hankook, which are not bad with what they supply in Europe, but white wall is mostly for the US market with lower speed index and different design criteria. I don`t know of any good sports tyre with white wall.

Look for "Maxxis tyres", they have them in the correct dimension.

Hawk UK re-registering

What is the procedure to register a Hawk back in the UK? The car was first registered in the UK in 1994 with the donor car year of 1967 and than brought to Germany and registered over here in 2005 with historic status. What has to be done to register it back in the UK? V5 and plates do still exist. ...
