Just wondered what presures I should be running for fast road use on my 289. It has a Rover engine and MGB rear end.
regards

Hi Bill,
I use the standard MG pressures as recommended by Gerry H. 21lb/ft front and 24 lb/ft rear. Seems fine for me although I have uprated front wishbones and Jag IRS rear with heavier Ford 302.
I would try that for a start and maybe tinker about if it feels skittish, or too soft or hard.

Cheers, Clive.

Hi Bill
I run 22 / 24 and it seems fine, but fast road use in Surrey is a bit of a laugh! What happened to Motorail to get me to the Highlands for some real roads?
Weather was great here today so a quick trip to Racing Green to look at Jaguar XK120's (I even got Karen tyo agree which seats were best!!!)
Hope you have a good run tomorrow.

Richard,
If you ever feel like a little trip, go to http://www.jagxk.com/xkinfo.htm Tywford motors. They have more XK120, etc. than you can believe. Nice guy who runs the business aswell. Also the prices's of the XK are quite low compared to racing green
