Annual Insurance Capers

Post by Dave Woodward »

Think I may as well sell my car.

Just been on to Norton, standard build car, £30k value, 3000 miles, no claims in the last 5 years, only person insured.

They won't insure me!

Just spoken to Hagerty.

£732.29

This just doesn't add up. There is nothing different in my car and I am in a low risk post code.

Is there any seasonal variation in premiums ???

For a couple of weeks driving a year, this is sh!t

Didn't you have this problem last year Dave?

Have you tried Heritage? Having said that, I think that's who Norton are, or vice versa. :?

Never mind, we'll be off to Le Mans soon and it will all be worth it. :D 8)

This doesn't sound encouraging for my future renewal!
Last October Heritage ( Norton ) insured me with Chaucer at £34K agreed value for £241.50 having supplied a car description and 6 photos 2-3 years earlier
Maybe it's cos I'm over 60?

Just renewed my insurance with Heritage/Norton/Chaucer.
Agreed value £30K, 5000 miles p.a. Premium £176, which is £2 less than last year.
Maybe because it's Scotland and I'm over 70!
Not sure it will be the same next year, if we become an Independent country in September....!!!!
