update thread
Re: update thread
Nige, there are many, many types of filters, even the W 930 does have sub groups. Please check on the MANN website. Higher pressure could be a sign that your old filter had a low bypass rating. Additional hoses normally create more pressure . For me I do not like small filters, because the filtration area is small. The W 930 is a filter normally used in construction machinery and tractors, but the subgroup filters are also used in cars.

Re: update thread
I'm not suggesting that Halfords = Fram, but Fram filters are not going anywhere near my engine. Just google questions like "Are Fram filters any good" etc. You don't have to take my word for it. JMHOpeterc wrote:Stuart
Are you suggesting that Halfords = Fram as I have used Fram quite a lot over the years without seemly having any issues. I have used Halfords more recently due to not finding anything else readily available.

Re: update thread
Can we try and keep this thread on track please. I the OP was for a list of upgrades that people have made to their cars rather than a detailed analysis of any specific component.
Thank you,
Paul

Looking good.
Where did you get the HT lead clips from to attach to the Cobra rocker covers as I could do with those to keep my leads better positioned.
Next step is to improve the bonnet underside - assuming that you have a bulge you can make it look more like its riveted on by creating a hard edge to simulate the edge of the original bonnet.
Then there is the bracing between the scuttle and the front suspension.
I assume Migge that you are only expecting 240 bhp despite the 4 x IDF's as you are only 3.5L (215 ci). Mine being 4.6 ( 280 ci ) alledgely makes around 275.
Personally I would have kept quiet about the engine type. After all that immaculate work you have created a wonderful car so why spoil the illusion.
