Roger,
The tremec is a really good box, a standard T5 World Class is OK, but the tremec is the business. With the dollar to pound rate at the moment, the cost of engine + gearboxes is really good.
Are you running a standard T5 in the the 289? Anyway, great day, time to get on and finish the car. If anyone wants a really good T5, try the Ford Racing Super-Duty T-5 Transmissions (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetai ... toview=sku) (with import + VAT comes to around £900-1000 which is cheap.
John.

That's what I'm running in the Mustang. The Cobra also has an aftermarket unit, but it's a slightly earlier model. Seems to handle the 310bhp of the 289 HiPo with no trouble. Seems the majority of T5s are called 'World Class' - this can mean everything, or nothing! The US forums will give the full lowdown on the various specs.
