OK, I'm after a rough, "ball park" figure to build a Hawk 289 FIA (as I can't seem to find one to buy)
Hawk's website seem just have POA on all the prices so a real world (UK) would be very helpful.
A price without the engine and gearbox would be just about perfect as I'm undecided what to fit.
Post here if the wife doesn't read the forum, but if she does, maybe drop me a PM.
Thanks
Simon

Hi Simon,
Ballpark, without Engine and Gearbox I'd say between 23 and 27k. (More if you want an Andy Gordon standard FIA)
If you are interested I've just stripped an MGB and have front end, rear axle (Rostyle), Steering rack, handbrake, Obviously all docs and details of the vehicle history, pretty much ready to go. All the bits will need overhaul. Pretty much full donor package. Make me an offer if you are interested.

Hi Simon.
Wives occasionally see the forum, so an entirely accurate price may be tricky to obtain in public!
However, Hawk`s current pricelist is at the bottom of the model pages, or click the link.

It all depends on the exchange rate of the "wife pound" I suppose

Trouble is, when you've been restoring cars for over 40 years, we are now at the stage where she automatically doubles every figure I tell her and refuses to believe it's less.
Still, at least it's only double. She'll get there eventually...

As long as there is money in the account so she doesn't have to go short, my other half lets me buy what I want!

Without engine and gearbox I was circa £30k-33k when I was looking at the build option. That was with a live axle. I recall Gerry mentioning that it could be an additional 2k+ for Jag IRS. My pricing was based on sourcing nearly all items from Gerry and with an unrefurbed donor parts package as per Stu's spec aboveStewbieC wrote:Hi Simon,
