'66 Car Magazine Hauser/Miles Purple Cobra article

Post by nikbj68 »

I was sent this by Russ Swift, the new owner of CS2030, the first Right hand drive, and Rack and Pinion Cobra:
"Attached – a copy of the feature that scarred me for life. I built a model slot car of this when I was 15.
Regards, Russ.

Thanks for sharing. I need to get a copy of the cover of this one to add to the wiki's reading list!

Didn`t spot this 'Classic' on the Wiki either!

I was just updating the wiki to include the Car article in the magazine reading list.

I think this is CSX2431 - Ken Miles' own car, bought by Hauser for $4000 according to this: http://shelbyamericancollection.org/car ... r-csx2431/ For some reason, this chassis number is not on the ACOC's register.

According to this site, Hauser entered the car in two races in 1966, but didn't attend either of them: http://www.racingsportscars.com/driver/ ... r-USA.html

Compared to the models of today, she's positively obese
