It would be nice to know which model of 427 you have as there are ( were ) many different manufacturers over the years.
First impression is that there is rather a large gap between the engine and the radiator. E.g. The engine is set well back in the chassis such the carbs barely clear the bulkhead.
I've not heard of a Cobra model mixing the Mustang and Jag before. The American sourced models would normally have kept Mustang throughout.
Interesting.
Ref the potential conversion to FIA I hope you are good at fibre glassing.

Hi Peter

Nowbody nows the manufacturers.
The cobra comes from California.
i think the guy how build this cobra buy a body and make the frame by himself.
i think it was an low buget cobra. After a few years i have fixed all the problems with the frame, steering and suspension and now the cobra drive well also an the race track.top speed with the old top loader was 260kmh.

Welcome Martin.

That's a very nice looking car and you've done a lovely job of the aluminium panelling. I, and I'm sure others, would be very interested to hear how you've got on with the 8 Stack system. I've seen them fitted to GT40's and I've read about them, but it would be good to get feedback from first hand experience.

Regards,
Paul

Hi Martin, and welcome :D

That engine is seriously far back in the chassis, more Bizzarrini than Cobra! Front mid-engined. Should make for interesting handling?!
