The 16" is original size.

Later Cobra:

Again, should be 16". Can be had with no markings.

Cripes! That`s expensive for a re-pop, doesn`t mention whether boss is included, but still £100 more than a new one with boss from Mota Lita! (And it`s not a Greyhound wheel... :roll: )

They don't list Greyhound, but if you know the details Motolita will build you one. They are a brilliant company to deal with, still the same family from way back and I wouldn't be surprised if they're still made in the kitchen like they used to be. OEM for all our cars.

Found some handy photos!

Greyhound = DB2 Bluemels. `Orrible flimsy great thing. Dad found it awkward getting in and out with the Bluemels 171/2" wheel as it left little room twixt wheel & thigh and was in constant contact with yer legs;

So I replaced it with the original wheel from Dad`s Cobra, as wrestled by Jack sears, and subsequently signed by him too!

Here is a set of 'compare and contrast' piccies, including a 15" flat Mota Lita I fitted before the Cobra wheel :

Original (like a bloody bus!):

15" (bit heavy at low speed/parking):

Cobra 16" dished:

I'd go with the Bluemels every time, just looks the part.

I'm inclined to agree with Roger. What would an Ace wheel look like in there?

Apart from the need for refurb(plastic splitting on spokes, see cableties!), it was unpleasant to use, a Derrington(Ace) wheel was a consideration, but when I told Dad I could fit 39PH's wheel, there could be no other result! The only way Dad will remove the wheel now will be to refit it to 39PH; we await delivery(breath not held :wink: ).

Yes, Sam. Dad owned 39PH from '67 -'73, and now owns the AC Greyhound that I fitted to. 8)
When we did the Sussex GT at Goodwood a couple of years ago, Sir Paul Vestey said that wheel & car should be reunited, Dad agreed, asking when we could expect delivery of the Cobra!!! :lol:

That's seriously cool, do you have any photos of the car when your family owned it ? Does your dad miss it ? (Stupid question)
Also if the wheel ever goes up for sale, but I'm sure there's a queue !
