Hawk 289 FiA...AT LAST!!!
Re: The next project.
Looks fantastic!
Regarding the body, you may find some answers/inspiration at the scratch builder section at Clubcobra. I know at least one guy (nickname G_Pete) who did a 289 Fia

Tapped.
Shut up.
Sam.
Hang on, This lot is expensive enough as it is. I can't afford LeMans body bucks just yet. I'll have to see if there is the demand.
Nic.
I can't see why not, if fitted with the period correct bits and bobs.
Monster.
I've pretty much got that sorted now. But more info and ideas never go amiss. I'll take a look. Thanks.

Looks even better today. I've swept up.
Anyway.... a group question now.
If I'm going to do an FIA, then which one should I replicate?
I believe you have 5 to choose from. (Serious question).

Alan; I think Dave means which original FIA spec car, but I could be wrong - it's been known!catsx11 wrote:For the less initiated amongst us (like me), what are the 5 types of FIAs?

Yup Lee.
There were 5 original FIA cars.
There were differences between all of them.
I'm trying to gauge which one is best liked before I go and get the body buck produced.
