Re: Another new book
Thanks Migge!
I`ve been following the progress of this book for about 3 years now...
Should have started saving for it at the same time.

Re: Another new book
Um - haven't actually opened it yet - I have a large pile of motoring books I'm working my way through. I'll have a look in the next day or so but I don't think it focuses on Cobras particularly.

Re: Another new book
There are other racing cars, you know Nik...
There are a sprinkling of Cobra photos, some great Galaxie, Mustang and GT40 pics. The book is organized by circuit, so a lot of shots of drivers hanging around and trucks in grass paddocks. All the stuff of my early teenage years, which has long gone but sticks in the memory so clearly. A particular favourite is the photo of the Chaparral 'T' car at Brands Hatch, which appears to be a 'high-wing' early-fifties Ford Anglia sporting Bentley badges on the bonnet sides. Unlikely, looking at the space available.

Re: Another new book
Perhaps we should set up a nostalgia section with snippets of memories from the 60's
Triggered by Roger's suggestion of a Bentley badged Anglia I remember a fellow college student having Daimler badges on his Mk 1 Ford Cortina.
Yes a Daimler Dart SP250 engine seemed to fit quite well. I remember him exiting the car park reasonably quietly but noticed that the rear wheels were rotating a little faster than the fronts.
