Sounds a sensible decision to me. There's just no way of knowing what's right or not for individual cars, and that's probably more complicated for the AC289s as Ford had moved on by then. For the earlier cars it's perhaps more obvious what they should have, but that's countered by the early parts being very much harder to find! Basically, anything pre-Mustang gets difficult, like the clutch release forks, front engine cover etc. You have to think Fairlane or Comet and things get a lot more obscure.

Listen guys...I'm in New Jersey for 5 days and just ordered 4 of these books for $186 delivered here. 1 for me and 3 to be resold to whoever claims first. Thought I'd bring them to Silverstone. So thats about $44 each.

Let me know who wants one☺

Cheers

Yes please Colin! One for me.
Are you there much longer? I was going to try to get one of these too - it's not very big:

If you've not got time, don't worry. Appreciate the help on the engine book. Will see you at Silverstone.

I'll call them tomorrow Andrew and check delivery (todays a public holiday - 4th July and all that. Actually, I'm really only here to reclaim the land, sod independence).

ok folks, sitting in Newark Airport awaiting flight home...

...have successfully secured in my hold luggage 3 of the Bob Manels books (plus 1 for me) - my God they're heavy! - and two manual heater control valves (I'll use one). Will work out the exact cost when I get back and let you know in a later post.

Cheers
