Road tax query

How much will road tax be on a newly registered Hawk with a 3.5 rover engine on an age related plate

I was told by JohnH that it was £230 or £240 - a special flat-rate tax for kit cars. However I am at that point myself and can't find anything on the government website to confirm this.

I think John sent his £50 registration fee in initially, then they got back to him asking for some more. I think he's away at the mo, but will hopefully reply to this thread.

Assuming you get an age related plate I think you will pay the same rate as cars registered before 2001 which for your engine size would be £255 pa

I paid 245 quid in February PLG classification and as Clive says it went up by 10 quid in April.
