Tyres

Post by David Large »

I want some 205/70/15 tyres to put on my BRA's 6" chrome wires.
What is the favourite these days? What do you all run?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of choice.

Cheers

David

HI David

I use Pirrelli P4000 ZRs on mine. £65 each so not too dear and good for the wet and dry. Plenty of grip for my 260 bhp, but still capeable of leaving the number 11 on the tarmac if required!

Thanks Clive, Pirelli 4000 seemed to be the most viable choice.

They appear to be cheaper in Scotland, sites I am looking at are all above £80 each.

thanks

Were Pirelli P4000 not standard fit for the Jaguar XJ series?
Cheers, Clive.

Hi David

I am running the P4000 too, they are really quite good.
I agree with Clive regarding the performance, and they wear well too.
Quite a few 289's that I have seen have this tyre fitted.
Look forward to seeing you at Silverstone. We need to chat about Le Mans Classic in 2008 :D
