Hello All,
I'm a new member from Pennsylvania in the eastern USA.
I recently acquired a Kirkham 289 Cobra that was built by David Wagner, a noted restorer and builder from the Detroit area.
The car is Princess Blue with red interior and is as original as possible with the notable exception of a 5-speed transmission.
I'm not new to Cobras having had a 289 fiberglass CSX continuation car and, prior to that, a AC Autokraft Mark IV.
This Kirkham is as close to an original 289 as I'm probably going to get.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the newsletters and forum of this club.
P.S. how do you attach photos?
Mark

Nice one Mark! As a fellow Kirkham 289 owner (UK-based), I welcome you to the fold. I'll try to post some pictures later from the AC Owners Club Sprint that I competed in last Saturday at Goodwood.
Cheers,
Colin

Hi Mark, and welcome!
Your car looks fabulous, perfect trim & colour combo, shows off the beautiful simplicity of the bodylines, a true time machine that is a refreshing change from the more 'popular' 427 Output from Kirkham! Love it.

Re: New member from USA
By the way Mark, I never properly complimented you on your car...Nik's comment has prompted me to do so now. It is be..u..oooo..tiful! There is every possibility that at some time in the future my car will revert to a road car again (it was once) and your car will be my inspiration. That was my favoured colour anyway, but hadnt thought of the red interior...that just sets it off a treat. I wish you well to drive it.
Judging from your posting name, is there a Lotus in your garage as well?

Thank you for the compliments! The car is now in a shop having a top and side curtains/screens fitted. I took it over three days before we had a freak snowstorm.
Yes, in my garage I also have a 2005 Lotus Elise. This is the USA model with the Toyota motor.
