Well a couple of you got the right country anyway. Couldn't be the UK because of the sun and not that far from the Italian border! It's not a proper Bugatti (then again I'm not a proper person) but a very nice aluminium replica owned by a friend of mine who lives just inland from Antibe in the south of France. We were off to the Monaco Historique so that is the bit of road that runs from Cannes into Nice. The water in the distance is the bay at Nice. We dropped off the main road onto the Corniche for the final run into Monaco (well, you have to don't you!) and thanks to local knowledge, straight into an underground car park within 10mins walk of the grandstand overlooking the harbour. I've been four or five times now and ok, I have friends locally, but a cheap SleazyJet ticket and 30Euros for a grandstand seat makes it an affordable trip I reckon. Here's a couple of pics of things we saw when we got there.

Nice bit of bodywork. And I don't mean the young lady in the Allard. Guess she must be handy with the spanners. Think I'd rather have the Hemi though - probably cheaper to run.

Nah - you can't beat a wet, windy Sunday afternoon standing on the windswept bank at Snetterton watching a few one-make saloons from the nineties trundling round, in front of a crowd of about 30.

Me? Envious? Not a bit of it...

Judging by the scenery behind the sign, then clearly nowhere near Chatteris or Ely. 39 Left Turns (???) so probably the magic roundabout at Hemel Hemstead. Or maybe somewhere in Alps?

Yup - here's me climbing it in '01 (mid-afternoon on 9/11, to be exact - if anyone asks where you were!)

Roger, that's not a 911. It looks more like a Jensen Interceptor to me! :D
Cheers, Clive.

(If I'm not here I'm in my workshop or on the golf course!)
