Just a short Hello to everybody!
I´m building a HAWK 289 FIA here in Germany. The invaluable information of you gentlemen who already "did it" persuaded me to join the club. Also a HAWK builder here in Germany is very lonely, because there are not many around, so looking forward to share problems and good times.
Best regards
Karl
Hello from Germany
Hi Karl and welcome to the 289 Register.
As you say this site is a mine of information especially when it comes to building the Hawk. I did not discover this site until I had finished my build but I would have saved myself lots of time if I had.
The Hawk is a very good kit and judging by what I have seen in other web sites an easy car to build.
Do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions. It may seem silly to you but we have been through it and have a lot of knowledge on hand.
As far as feeling lonely, I can sympathise with you, so far there are only 2 Hawks on the road in Scotland with one other nearly finished. (And once you have completed your car you will find you have lots more friends who want a ride!)

Cheers, Clive.
(If I'm not here I'm in my workshop or on the golf course!)
