Today we got our farm insurance renewal in the post and it made me think what machinery we have and that in turn made me think how many cylinders there are, I was surprised!
Including cars, but excluding toys such as R/C plane/car etc. there are:-
Cobra, - 8
Range Rover - 8
E 39 BMW - 6
E 46 BMW -6
Discovery - 5
Tractors x 2 - 6
JCB Forklift - 3
Kawasaki Mule - 2
Pump - 4
Ride On Mower - 1
Generator - 1
Flymo - 1
Cylinder Mower - 1
Strimmer - 1
Hedge Trimmers x 2 - 2
Chainsaw - 1
Leaf Blower - 1
Fifty seven in total! Can anyone beat that? (All in working order)
How Many Cylinders?
How Many Cylinders?
Cheers, Clive.

Re: How Many Cylinders?
Can't beat that but then we live in a little urban house with next to no machinery so we have:
Cobra 8
Radical 4
GTM 4
Freelander 4
Punto 4
Generator 1
Total 25
Where would we be without the internal combustion engine!

Re: How Many Cylinders?
OK then, if we can count bare blocks in the total:
lawnmower: 1
strimmer: 1
daughter's Mini: 4
wife's Jazz: 4
my 330i: 6
real Mini: 4
spare Mini blocks: 8
Z3M Coupé: 6
spare S54B32 for above: 6
Mustang: 8
spare Mustang block: 8
Cobra: 8
spare Cobra blocks:
...88
I make that 152.
Please don't tell my wife. Oh, wait, she already knows...

33 here
Not worthy then! including my Cobra, Ford Ranger, Landrover and the other halfs Kia.
Looks like I need another car with a V8 to make my tally respectable!

Re: How Many Cylinders?
Here's mine:
Cobra: 8 (big ones )
Range Ropver: 8
Ferrari: 8
Fiat: 4
Daughter's Fiat: 4
Harley: 2
Vincent: 1
Lawn Tractor: 1
Husqvarna Rider: 2
Brush Cutter: 1
Strimmer: 1
Chainsaw: 1
Total: 41
The engines are all working, although the Vincent has a leaky fuel tank and therefore isn't in full working order unfortunately.

Re: How Many Cylinders?
You can't count spare engines and blocks Roger. They're just holes in lumps of cast metal.
