Aluminium skin

Post by Maxakarudy »

Hi,
My intention one day is to build an aluminium Cobra, so in preparation for the marathon, I've been making a few practice panels, it's for my V12 E type, I've made it in 3 sections

That looks terrific. Very well done.

It would appear that we have some very skilled people on the forum. :)

Thanks very much chaps, the E type has easy curves than a Cobra, so will be a lot more challenging as you will see :D

Nice work. Did you teach yourself? I would like to have a go at this once I've got my Hawk build finished.

Thank you
I've bought DVDs and been on a metalshaping course, but I do fabricate in all metals as I have my own sign business, however I'd say I was self taught in most things, but it's mainly about having a go & not giving in, just like building a Cobra.
If you are interested check out Allmetashaping or MetalMeet that's where I learnt most things with regard to panelmaking. it is a bit of an art, but anything is possible
