Drive It Day 2019

Post by clive »

As it was a lovely day up here in God's Country, I decided to dust off the cobwebs and take the "T" Car out for it's first run of the year. Because it was Drive It Day, I expected to see a few other enthusiast enjoying their pride and joy, but in three hours and over 150 miles the only "oldie" I saw was a MkII Vauxhall Cavalier!

Anyone else venture out?
Cheers, Clive.

(If I'm not here I'm in my workshop or on the golf course!)

God's country? If you HAD been in Yorkshire you would have seen loads of old tin out :D Saw everything from a Sentinel Steam Wagon to a Mura out on the moors on Sunday. Helped motivate me to get some of my own projects finished.

So far so good thanks Clive. I go to see the surgeon tomorrow - things may change then. I am going to Donnington Park at the weekend to see the classic racing.

David, my thoughts are with you especially as I have just spent Easter in dock and came out with a stent. No heart damage but sounds like is was a close shave. So basically I wasn’t able to enjoy the Cob in the lovely weather that you had and I didn’t see!
Going to the Gym three times a week didn’t prevent it so I definitely don’t like this getting old stuff.

Thanks Clive, just trying to get my confidence back.
Not sure on your logic but if it works for you that’s good.

Good luck.
Stents work really well, but they told me I need too many so it is a multiple bypass for me. That is what I have been told to date, but the surgeon may of course have another plan.
