And he probably didn’t even need planning permission.
A property with a few acres and from the outside it’s just another barn on the farm. I think the design is based on a typical grain barn on the prairies.
That’s the big difference between the UK and the USA. Space to fit our dream garage or in the case of the UK the lack of.

It took me over six months just to get a building warrant to demolish my old workshop and rebuild it in timber frame to the exact dimensions as the original.
