Back in 2014 someone got this idea they wanted to get a Honda HF 2620 to go a fair bit faster.
A little persuasion of Honda themselves who in turn got their F1 team interested as a niche project.
Result was a 108 BHP engine from a VTR Firestorm motorbike which resulted in a record 116.57 mph top speed with -
a mower!.
Yes, a ride on mower that still cuts grass.
Not content they reviewed the result in 2018 and made it go faster.
Using a CBR1000RR engine giving 190 BHP they now have a record of 0-100 in 6.28 secs.
Honda believe that given enough Road it would do 150 mph however a previous driver suggested it felt like the power of a dragster with a wheelbase of a fly. No seat belts or roll over cage. It was felt it was better to fall/ bounce clear than get chewed by the blades or have it fall on top of you.
Apparently it feels like a dose of nitrous hits at 9000 rpm and goes on till 13,000.
Best left to racing drivers then.
