Silverstone Classic 2018

Post by clive » Tue Oct 10, 2017 8:53 pm

The provisional dates for next years Silverstone Classic have just been announced as 20 - 22 July. If you're quick you can get a twin room for two nights at The Crossroads Hotel at Weedon Bec for £125.
Cheers, Clive.

(If I'm not here I'm in my workshop or on the golf course!)

Clive
Who did you try on line or web.
I tried others phoning directly and on line with trivago and booking.com without success.

I used Booking.com, but it looks like the Crossroads is fully booked, or perhaps it has been taken off until the prices change. The last couple of years there has always been rooms available even on the weekend of the Classic.
Cheers, Clive.

Thanks Clive,
That’s who I tried first and when 8 phoned directly the receptionist said that her system wouldn’t accept bookings that far ahead!
I appreciate that you need the hotel more than most of us. This year seemed rather an expensive week-end considering I didn’t enjoy it.
If it’s £100 or more a night then I’ll probably be driving it there and back in the day. Shame as it’s good to meet for a beer or two.

I agree Peter. It'll be interesting to see if it comes back online and at what price. I was very disappointed with the rooms this year and the only reason I've booked for next year is for the social gathering. Perhaps as a club we should be looking for a different venue, even if it is slightly further afield.
Cheers, Clive.
