It was good to meet you there Chris, despite the cold it was very enjoyable.

Do we know who built the coupe? The one in the brushed finish announced as a replica?

Thanks

Didn't think the Earl of March allowed replicas!

That comment he made looks more and more ridiculous as time goes by. Either he doesn't know and he made the comment in good faith, or he was knowingly talking rubbish. Either way, it doesn't reflect well on him. :?

It seems a number of the GT40s were Superformance too.

Really? :?

I can understand Gelscoe GT40's being there as they're pretty much identical to originals and are made from the original drawings, but the Superformance GT40's, as lovely as they are, are some way off being true replicas as I understand it.

Lovely cars- thanks for the pictures.
Wish I could afford the Aston mk 4GT or any of the Cobras
Under the classic car rules currently being debated south of the Channel the cream coloured 289 (looks like Kevin's old car) would no longer be classed a classic as its been modified since it left the factory by adding louvers in the bonnet !
Yes, that how rediculous the rules would be.
Perhaps Lord March will need to clarify what cars are eligible for racing in future. Playing semantics what is the difference between a copy and a replica?
As Gerry used to say. I have a vintage broom but it's had 4 new heads and 2 new handles!
Guess Paul's approach will need to be the way forward e.g. The copy will need to be from identical materials as same shape throughout as the original.
Back in the 60's it wasn't unknown for racers to remake a new shell in aluminium to gain a weight advantage!

Graham Hill trophy is now up.

Bill Shepherds 289 is in this race, and is a Shelby 50th. If that's not a replica then I don't know what is :)

All still lovely though!
