Hi guys.
Just a quick up date. We currently have 10 ( yes ten) members registered their intention of attending the Cranleigh Classic.
This is excellent news but perhaps there are more of you who have not yet made your mind up.
I have formally registered the 289 as wanting a pitch allocated for us and will just need to confirm final numbers so the organisers can arrange the space needed.
So anyone who thought that they maybe on their own you should have 9 others to chat with!

Guys
Just like to thank all those that have shown in interest in attending the Cranleigh Classic and do hope the two owners who have an element of doubt do manage to arrange their other commitments to allow them to attend.
Latest tally is as follows.
AC - 1
Hawk - 6
BRA - 2
Kirkham - 1
Magnum - 1
Mustang - 1

Yep that 12 !!
But I can always apply for more tickets. Having originally wanted to get 5-6 cars together this is an excellent result. Perhaps if we get a few more we will have more than the CRC.

I'm coming, but only in my girlfriend's Mk 1 Ford Focus Tdci. Boom!
Unless someone happens to be passing and doesn't mind giving me a lift.
Looking forward to meeting you all...

Hi Chaps

Apologies however I now won't manage to get the BRA to Cranleigh.
The insides of my Oil pump disintegrated whilst zipping along the A3, pulled over swiftly however created swarf so not ideal.
Assessing damage at the mo, at best it looks like new pump and re grind crank.
Worst case could get interesting!!!

I will try and get along anyhow.

Andy,
Sorry to hear of your gremlins hope it's not too serious. Thanks for letting us know.
If the worst is discovered then you enter the dilemma of how much you improve the engine at the same time?

If any other member needs a ticket for Cranleigh let me know via a PM and I will forward Andy's for you to print off.

Re: Cranleigh classic update.

Update on Cranleigh entry.
We now have 13 cars expected and the tickets all issued. Having previously only requested twelve tickets ( and hoping for around 5 cars) I have managed to get two more from my contact in the UK Cobra Club. Thus I now have one spare if there are any last minute requirements.
You could still just roll up and we will try to squeeze you in.

We expect to be positioned close to the 427 guys but have yet to ascertain whether they are to one side or in front/ behind us.
I would like to have some form of demarcation if only for the publics benefit.
For those attending in their daily drivers we are in zone C, the village side of the field and effectively the opposite side to the entry over the stream.

I hope everyone that has a ticket will still be able to make it on the day. Regrettably we already had one retirement with a blown engine.
Looking forward to seeing all you guys.
