We have just returned from our annual Road Trip, this year organised by member Tony Mountain and his partner Barbara.
This year's event was called The Roses Road Trip and introduced us to the delights of Lancashire and Yorkshire, taking in the beautiful scenery of the Yorkshire Dales and surrounding areas.
A huge thank you from the club and all those who attended to Tony and Barbara for putting on a terrific event.
Such is the popularity of these events that members have already stepped forward to organise events for the next three years.

Re: Annual Road Trip
It were silin’ down as we put wood i’th’oil of Paul’s house and framed thissen t’ land of Roses. Right jiggered and paggered by time we hit sack in t’otel, next morning were dowly too. Ne bother, ‘appen il be reight by time we got down’t road. Up and down dale, we ‘appened on caravan faffing in’t middle t’ road. “What dus’t a reckon?” said I t’ steering committee…”Couldn’t write it!” she blethered.
Cob was reight clarty b’now, completely blathered up. Lorra gawpin that morning til we reached pub for well-earned snap. Parked under a sliver, we made our way t’ Russ Swift’s gaff where no less than 4 ACs were huggered up. He’s a rum’n! Total mawmet he were, as he fullocked an Ace up a brant hill in t’ cloise next’ ouse. Priceless!
Slockened and pudgy, we hit’ sack that night sommat wahr for wear. Next day, chuffed by fret liftin, we were canty agait. Awesome! Huggered up on Ilkley Moor bar tat and in fine fettle, we flepped t’ song and daggled. Cap that Emmerdale! Bronte country beckoned and us nesh Southerners took in tea n’ parkin with some reight gud sooarts.
Champion bash at t’ last leg, it were time for final lig I’bed. Wit’ last mashin’ Yorkshire tea in t’ morning, and ‘appy as pigs in muck, it were all too soon to say tarra t’ Tykes and get down’t road and home.
Eeh ba gum, reight pair of good ‘uns, Tony and Barbara. Class!

Alan & Nik
For your info we were presented with no fewer that 50 Yorks/ Lancs sayings which we had to decipher during the evening meal.
It was a way of introducing us to the local dialect.

Any photos?
For anyone who enjoyed the Dales, you might be interested in the North York Moors and Cleveland Hills. The roads are much better with much, much less traffic. Real Cobra country!
