For anyone else who may not have received the email, I have put these details (along with other club discounts) on the Member Notices page: https://www.the289register.com/amember/content/p/id/1/
Re: Silverstone Classic 2019
Having just traversed the A43 past Silverstone twice recently I would advise everyone to be circumspect in their speed.
I noticed that the speed cameras are of the Travelo type, which by the time you see the box it’s too late as they face you to take the photo. The triggers are buried in the road surface.
Not that I am suggesting that you make a habit of breaking the speed limit but It is easy to find that you have unwittingly increased your speed to over 70.
So beware guys and stay legal.

Re: Silverstone Classic 2019
Just to bump this thread, for all those who haven't already bought tickets and are considering visiting this year, the deadline for club discounted tickets is 31st May (this Friday).
It's a great event for any enthusiast, with access to the pit garages for visitors, loads of racing and thousands of cars from a variety of car clubs. The club AGM is on the Saturday where input from members is always appreciated.
If you'd like to go and are not a member, just join with the two for one savings you'll probably offset your subs quite easily!

Anyone got a spare from their Club bogof? 2x Saturday tickets required by club member who was unable to commit to Silverstone before the offer ended!

Re: Silverstone Classic 2019
Do they automatically issue two tickets when you apply or only on request.
