If they give you space for a club stand it has a reason I think. Saw outdoor pictures and it was not very crowdy as in former years.

Yesterday was the most subdued Stoneleigh I have seen, including any of the times i have been on the Monday in the last 20 years _ i hope today fairs better. Disappointing after such a good show last year, although perhaps the weather then helped.
I hope this is not an industry in terminal decline, and more of a Brexit blip.

There used to kit car shows at Donnington, Stoneleigh, Exeter and Kent. Now Stoneleigh is the only one left. The halls were so empty compared To the last time there (4-5 years ago?) wouldn’t surprise me if it was the last one....

There used to be one in Edinburgh too, but not many manufacturers could be bothered travelling so far north.
Cheers, Clive.

Agree with the comments above. Potentially the organisers should consider grouping the show with with another niche sector such as hot rods to increase the footfall and exhibitors or else it will go to the wall.
It was great to catch up with those saw and had a great time.

The show was also spoiled for me by my 7 hour journey home.....left show at 2.50....m1, M25 until 10 miles from home when I sat in stationary traffic ( in a cobra with no roof) for FIVE HOURS!
I can’t deny it somewhat took the shine off the day!

I heard there is a hot rod show there the week before, so maybe that could be a good partner.
Or something potentially totally different - partnered with a Craft event to bring in lots of wives and girlfriends?

I also went along to thee CR stand, and was disappointed to see one of the worst turn outs ever there as well, in terms of cars on display.

Perhaps the timing is wrong. Weather at this time of the year can be fickle so maybe the end of the month or early June.
Cheers, Clive.

I agree Clive, but it was always the season opener.
Last year was terrific in terms of cars outside although i detected a few less trade stands.
This year there was no Ultima, no Pilgrim, no Italian exotic body kits - not my thing, but my boy was disappointed.

Some have said this is the potential alternative to Stoneleigh:

Unfortunately it also clashes with quite a lot of other events on Father's Day w/e, including the Double12 at Brooklands.
