Glad you liked it David. It's a great wee event which is getting bigger and better every year. Are you still hill climbing?
Cheers, Clive.

Clive,

My intention was to sprint & hillclimb again this year in the Radical. I had the engine rebuilt (at great expense) and did some other bits to the car but a week ago I was told by the medics that I need a triple or quadruple heart by pass operation and I was banned from driving the Radical (by the doctor).
I have cancelled the 4 events I had already entered, cancelled the trips abroad we had planned (no insurance cover currently) and will have to wait until next year. On the much brighter side I will have next year to look forward too, if the problem had not been found then I may not have!

regards,

David

Wow! Really sorry to hear that David, but as you say, better to have found out now than later. We had a fright last year when out of the blue Jill had a heart attack. She was told she needed a triple bypass but after speaking to another consultant, had stents fitted and hasn't looked back since. Whatever happens, good luck and hopefully you'll be back to full fighting strength soon. Give my best to Denise.
Cheers, Clive.

They discounted stents in my case "as I would need so many". Hope Jill is ok now.
If possible we will be at the Silverstone Classic depending on how things go.

By absolute coincidence one of the MSAUK scrutineers at the local sprint track where I often compete works in the cardiac speciality wing in the Wolverhampton hospital where I will be having my operation. He told me on Sunday that I will be out in 10 days and then six weeks recuperation. I am given to being wildly optimistic but even I think it is going to take longer than that! He also says that they do 6 of these operations every working day!

I will be able to join the front zipper club!

Sorry to hear of your health issues Dave, as you say all of this stuff is pretty routine and now they've found the issue it can be dealt with.
You'll be right as rain and hooning up that hill again before you know it!
