This Bank Holiday Weekend!
So far, I know of 3 of our members attending the Oulton Park Gold Cup, this coming bank holiday weekend.
There will be me and Jerry E. in our Cobras and Kevin K. will be racing his wonderful 1964 Shelby AC Cobra in the Historic Road Sports series. It's a terrific 3-day event, full of amazing historic race cars on circuit, plus hundreds of club display cars. The weather forecast is good, so if you can get your Cobra or Ace to the event, you'll find us parked in the infield somewhere between Cascades and Knickerbrook. Kevin, of course, will be in the race paddock, with his Cobra ("The FoMoCo Blue Demo") and his fabulous Morgan +8, which he is also competing in.
Will anyone else be there?
I've been going for many years. It's a great one to attend, so perhaps we can make it an official T289R meeting next year.

HSCC Oulton Park Gold Cup:
Very well done to T289R member Kevin Kivlochan. He qualified P2, just 0.09 seconds off pole, taken by Will William Plant on the last lap in his Morgan Plus8.
On race day, Kevin enjoyed a great dice with the Will, swapping places many times and at one stage resulting in an airborne Morgan, which was a new experience – A solid, hard-fought race all the way!
Kevin scored his 10th win in succession, in the Cobra, after 30 minutes of racing in the gruelling heat. A close victory by only 0.8 of a second And, achieved the fastest lap of the race too!
