What does the knurled knob do on the DR3 motor, it has a micro switch which does not seem to have a method in switching and when I do it manually seems to have no effect?

It adjusts the micro switch position.

If you switch to P the direction of the motor get's changed and the micro switch is stopping it.

YES
The switch does stop the motor.

As per previous...
nikbj68 wrote:...Does the screw move in & out when you turn the knurled nut? Could be stripped thread or the switch mechanism is seized, or both...but it would only give fine adjustment on the park position, and would therefore have to park somewhere for it to have an effect!
But I should have said "...have to reverse first and park somewhere for it to have an effect"
If there is no cam striker on the arm, is there the 'throwout' arrangement on the cog?
Seems to me like some parts may have been replaced with non-reverse motor parts?

There should be a rivetted dowel pin arrangement fixed to the end of the cable where it engages with the crank inside the casing. This presses on the switch to stop the motor. The crank should look like this:

The slots allow the crank to move further in reverse to engage the switch.

Does anyone know if that riveted Dowell pin can be removed from an old rack and put on a new rack?

Hi I got the park to work with the motor body earthed. But I presume when switching wiper on the first position is normal and second movement of the switch is fast. Mine is fast first then normal any idea why ?
