Re: Throttle Accelerator Cable
Alan
I think it depends on the fitting you have on the end of your throttle cable that will have a bearing on which bracket is best for you.
Having read Rogers comment I can see now that the cable pulls on totally the wrong lever !
Try moving it to the lever on other side and the effort needed on your peddle should reduce quite a lot.
See you Friday for a hands on test!

Re: Throttle Accelerator Cable
I agree with Roger, but better still would be to convert to a mechanical linkage as per original.

Re: Throttle Accelerator Cable
My dear chap, you now appear to be a fabricator...
Well done!!
Well done!!

That looks very professional Alan, you should be proud of that and it's far better than an awful lot of other cars out there,

Andrew,
For someone who keeps saying he doesn't know what he is doing it looks a dam fine job. What with that and modifying headlights I think you are actually rather competent. Perhaps I should remake mine as a fabrication instead of a big block.
Was there a need for the 2nd Spring attached to what I thought was the finger hole. I can see Roger's has a 2nd Spring but the others don't. I note also that the others don't attach the throttle cable to the same position as Roger's but then his is a mechanical linkage not a cable.

Re: Throttle Accelerator Cable
Holley carbs have a return spring in the spindle, so you arguably only need one extra, whereas Edelbrock carbs don't apparently have the spindle spring, so having two on the linkage makes sense.
