Nothing extreme, a day with a jigsaw and grinder and some 3mm mild steel plate and some 2" x 3mm ally flat. Never been tried before so I thought I'd give it a bash!

Yes, I'm afraid Barry beat you to it by at least a year. ;)

Mind you, Barry has also painted scratches in his bodywork in silver to look like the "aluminium" showing through.

He scratched the edge of one of his rear wheel arches while putting it in his garage one day and he's touched the scratch in with silver paint. I have to confess, it looks very convincing and you have to look really close to see what he's actually done.
Typical of Barry to turn a minor disaster into an asset.

Trouble is, he did it ages ago so it should have oxidised to white by now. Time to retouch, Barry...

If you think it important to have the fake leaf Spring then don't forget to add the tubes running between scuttle and front turret. I'm sure you can make them more convincing than my first attempt. See Spring 2015 magazine.

Peter, I've already got the tube and I'm working out the best way to fix them to the bulkhead. I need to see a couple of original cars before I finish and fit them.
Migge, stones and glass houses
