Rear wiring to dash harness

Post by richmixture »

What is the general routing for the wiring from the rear harness to the front dash harness, I was intending to run mine along the inside of the door seal on the drivers side, but its abit short in length

Anyone got any suggestions??

thanks, kris

Kris,

This is the normal run, between petrol tank and wheel arch in boot, down around wheel arch inside car, along the floor and up the a frame pillar? How shor is it?

I hope all is well!

Hi Kris, I routed the wire from the boot through the cockpit as near to the wheel arch as possible and as close to the "shelf" that the seatbelt frame sits on.

gents, thanks for the info, that is where mine is running, but it is too short, about 12" maybe, I think I am goin gto have to run this along the transmission tunnel.

I will have to have another look at this :x

Kris, where does the connector finish up? On mine it is just around the windscreen pillar but there is enough length in the dash harness to connect them together.

clive, mine finishes up from the dash harness just past the steering colum between that and the drivers side window post, by the sounds of it, most people seem to have enough length to come across to the screen leg and then the connection can be made at the A post.

I think I am going to have to have a play about here

If I remember correctly there is plenty length for the lights (Near and offside) but the wiring to the fuel pump & sender are not over long. You could try extending these wires in the boot to give you a bit more length in the cockpit.
Cheers, Clive.
