AC boot badge
AC boot badge
Has anyone fitted the AC logo boot badge ? Seems the boot is curved but the badge is flat hence a poor fit
Re: AC boot badge
You can bend the badge.
Cheers, Clive.

I've just been out and checked and mine does have a slight bend but it is hardly noticeable until you place a straight edge over it. The area of the bootlid where the badge is located doesn't have much of a curve either.
Cheers, Clive.

Re: AC boot badge
Never seen one with a bend in it, they're all flat as far as I know. COB6029's (Haynes Museum) is flat.
Re: AC boot badge
Maybe I put it too far down as it's a big gap ?

Re: AC boot badge
I laid mine flat on a thick folded towel and hit it firmly and centrally several times with a rubber lump hammer
Just worked a gentle curve into it over time. Now happens to follow the curve of the bonnet beautifully.
Dave.
