Re proofing the hood

Post by peterc »

The rather wet week end spent on the recent Roses tour highlighted the hood getting decidedly damp inside. Not surprisingly it appeared to be spreading out from the seams.
A quick call to the guys who took over Polyfacto ( Gerry's recommended trimmer) put me onto Renovo. They can supply a number of treatments for fabric hoods.
As usual it arrived quickly from Amazon and I have duly painted it on today. Warning it's like water but went on quickly with the recommended 2" brush.
I think I will treat the tonneau tomorrow after cleaning it of course.

Us vinyl boys don't really suffer like that  Water just beads off!

Original-looking too.
