Steering column rebush

Post by StewbieC »

One of my winter jobs has been to rebush the solid column. Used to have a couple of mm play at both ends that resulted in a bit of a rattle whilst driving. Changed the top plastic bush, bottom felt bush and added an additional bracket to support the bottom end rather than just relying on the hole in the fibreglass footwell.
All done now, steering wheel turns freely and no play.
A simple job that anyone can do.
