Not exactly in keeping with the 289, but in today’s world of distracted morons.......sorry, drivers, may be a pretty good safety feature....
Depends how much you value your life I suppose.....

3rd brake light

Re: 3rd brake light
I think that if I felt concerned that my LED rear brake lights weren’t bright and obvious enough I would go for a rain light mounted on the roll over bar and have it wired purely as an extra brake light.
Having made do with the original style coffin shaped lamp with a standard tungsten bulb for over 15 years I think the new rear LED lighting is more than adequate.

I had this mounted on my old Magnum. Was okay in the dark.

Re: 3rd brake light
I really like the roll bar lights, unobtrusive but probably in the eyeline of following drivers....

Very clever Migge , looks very professional.
Bet you enjoyed the challenge of getting the wiring in through the toll bar.
Frank, many decades ago I used to have that system. Utilising twin fog lights but switchable from the drivers seat to either be on for fog conditions or via a flasher unit and the brake light circuit for dense traffic conditions.
Gave peace of mind that it would wake up the following driver(s) especially on the motorway with constantly slowing traffic.

For those who think hee thats a good idea from Frank? ist actually forbidden because a brakelight needs a minimum hight from the street
