Left hand one looks like a low oil pressure switch.
It will probably start leaking before long, they usually do.
I'd ditch that Fram filter as well, they are considered sub standard. I know they are expensive, but I'd fit a 90 degree adaptor and a Moroso race oil filter. They actually filter rather than just run over the internal bypass valve. But again, it is just an opinion.

Stu is correct in identifying the switch as the oil pressure light switch. I am not aware of any place on a 302 block for an oil temp sender, but I fitted mine in the sump using an adaptor like this...

As for the filter I use a Mann filter which is short enough to fit straight on to the block without fouling the chassis rails. Be careful which filter you use as there are different pressure relief valves within the filter and if you choose the wrong one, oil will not flow through the filter.

Found out why the temp gauge wasn’t working.....no sender at all!
Gauge wired up fine but the wire to the non existent sender all taped up.
Seems the two senders were both oil pressure related, one for a warning light, one for the gauge.
