I always thought that Gerry provided a silencer where Nik has the 180 bend. It without bending down to investigate it looks like there is only the side pipe but the first silencer is hidden inboard and is part of the double back. If Nik can get way with a suitable noise level without the extra silencer then all well and good.
I still use both of Gerry’s original silencers but the first is tucked up below the drivers seat and then the exhaust goes over the Jag axle to the rear silencer which is re aligned at a slightly different angle. Don’t think I would want it any noisier.
