289 / 302 Exhaust Manifolds

Post by kdavies3 »

Hi Guys,
I've been waiting many months for my 302 exhaust manifolds from Gerry.
I appreciate that his supplier is busy and the current situation isn't helping.
I just wondered if anyone has successfully used any other after market block huggers or similar?
I'm mating it to an IVA 289 FIA system.
I could modify them if it not too drastic.
Or failing that does anyone have a set of Gerry's headers sitting on a shelf not yet used?
I could replace them with mine when they arrive.
I really want to crack on with my build while I have time on my hands.
Ideally I want to get the manifolds and exhaust on before refitting the body.

Thanks in advance all.

Ken

I have 'Block Huggers' on my 289 but they didn't fit first time.... they lined up very nicely with the main chassis tubes!
Nothing that a bit of applied heat and a bit of force times distance didn't sort out. I'd wait for Gerry's if I were you.
